This insurance covers 10% of the balance of your current transactions, as well as up to $500 of your transactions made with the Accord D Desjardins Plan, in the event of death, accidental dismemberment or first diagnosis of a critical or terminal illness. Furthermore, your spouse benefits from the same coverage at no extra charge. This coverage is automatic when you use your Coast Visa Desjardins Odyssey GOLD, Elegance GOLD, Modulo GOLD, or Platinum cards to pay for your purchases. The plan protects your purchases for 90 days against loss, theft, damages or fire. It provides a replacement or a full refund for almost all merchandise charged to your Coast Visa Desjardins card, anywhere in the world, up to $50,000 per year per account.

The Extended Warranty Plan doubles the length of a manufacturer's warranty up to one additional year, for almost all goods purchased that have a written guarantee honoured in Canada.

Planning to travel outside your province of residence? As a Coast Visa Desjardins Modulo GOLD, Elegance GOLD, or Classic  cardholder, if the duration of your trip is 3 days or less, then you're covered. Travel insurance gives you:

The insurance covers you and family members in case of accident or illness outside your province of residence and provides up to $5,000,000 per covered person for eligible required care and services, including transportation, repatriation, living expenses and dental care.
