In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have launched the Coast Capital Community Relief Fund which will provide flexible grants to support non-profit organizations, located in the communities we serve, that are struggling with immediate lost revenue due to COVID-19. In an effort to increase funding to those frontline organizations in crisis, we will award one-time operating grants up to $10,000. Organizations must show a proven history of working with vulnerable populations, especially those responding to an increased demand for food security, support for the homeless, mental health support and employment resiliency.
Additionally, we have set aside funding to support small businesses facing extreme hardship during this time.

Application Criteria
Organizations must meet the following requirements:
- be a non-profit society, co-op or have an approved sponsor organization
- demonstrate a strong need
- demonstrate a strong track record
- request funding that will benefit one or more of the communities where we do business
We are not able to help with:
- political parties or affiliated activities
- religious activities
- individuals seeking grants
- programs or initiatives outside Coast Capital's market areas
- capital campaigns (e.g., for new buildings, monuments, playgrounds, etc.)
The promotional rate is 2.40% per annum, subject to purchasing a 15-month non-redeemable term deposit through the Coast Capital Online Banking platform. This offer is not available through Contact Centre or in branch. The 2.40% promotional rate will apply for the full amount of the term deposit. Rate holds are not eligible for this promotional offer.
Each individual is limited to one 15-month non-redeemable term deposit under this promotional offer. A minimum investment of $500 and a maximum investment of $999,000 is permitted per term deposit. Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union may, at its sole discretion, close and refund the funds invested in the term deposit in case the amount of a term deposit investment exceeds $999,000. No interest will be paid on funds refunded in this manner.
Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union reserves the right to modify, extend, revoke, or terminate this promotional offer at any time without prior notice, including changing the deposit rate.
Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union has created and invested $200,000.00 into a Coast Capital Community Relief Fund. For each 15-month non-redeemable purchased through the Coast Capital Online Banking platform, Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union will invest an additional $250.00 into the newly created Coast Capital Community Relief Fund, up to a total aggregate investment of $400,000.00. A portion of the Cost Capital Community Relief Fund will provide Grants to British Columbia small business members in need and a portion will provide Grants that support non-profit and charitable organizations in British Columbia that have a proven history working with vulnerable populations, particularly those who are responding to an increased demand for food security, supporting homeless populations, providing mental health support, or supporting employment resiliency. Grants will be provided to support select small business members and organizations in British Columbia based on Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union guidelines developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minimum investment of $500 required.
